Measuring 5" x 2", this ticket, numbered 03245 K, was issued for Saturday, August 16, 1969, at a cost of $8.00. Printed by the Globe Ticket Company of Boston on their distinctive safety stock paper, the ticket remains crisp and unused, a tangible relic from one of the most defining cultural events of the 20th century.
Accompanied by a notarized Letter of Authenticity dated August 12, 1991, signed by George A. Galgay, former Globe Ticket Company sales manager, confirming the authenticity and originality of Woodstock tickets issued for the festival.
The Woodstock festival became a milestone of music and counterculture history, featuring performances by Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Who, and many others.
