A magnificent photo of the country music pioneer. Hank Williams 8"x10" glossy sepia photo. Signed "Hank Williams" in black ballpoint pen. Scattered creasing on the bottom left and around the edges but unaffecting the signature. Photograph signed on back "Red Sovine" in pencil .
Hank" Williams (September 17, 1923 – January 1, 1953) was an American singer, songwriter, and musician. Regarded as one of the most significant and influential American singers and songwriters of the 20th century, he recorded 55 singles (five released posthumously) that reached the top 10 of the Billboard Country & Western Best Sellers chart, including 12 that reached No. 1 (three posthumously).
"Red Sovine". Sovine (1917-1980, born Woodrow Wilson Sovine in Charleston, West Virginia) is a country singer and songwriter who is best known for his trucker songs, including the No. 1 hits Giddyup Go (1966) and Teddy Bear (1976). In all, Sovine had six Top Ten country singles, including the chart-topping Why Baby Why (1956), a more conventional country song. He also joined the Grand Ole Opry in 1956.
