Van Zandt in full: My dear Governor, we reached the city on time Saturday afternoon we feel greatly indebted to you for one of the happiest excursions of our lives. If anything could be more encouraging to good work than our time in New England, I cannot, and give what, and maybe Miss Hayes for in regards and Miss then dot to Charles G Van Zandt governor sincerely, R. B. Hayes.
