2 Revolutionary War Leather Gun Shot Pouches

Hand-stitched leather pouches, plus the plug for one of them. Slender form with one of the pouches having some original shot in it.

These were used to carry shot which were loaded with the ball to increase the effectiveness of the load. Its slender form allowed it to be tucked in the belt or pouch. It is not a shot container for fowling (shotgunning), as demonstrated by its very limited capacity. One would barely provide four to five charges for a shotgun but enough shot for perhaps 25 bucks and ball loads.
