Revolutionary War Large Knife in Sheath - Antler Grip w/ Handles

A knife from the Revolutionary War period with an antler grip. Daggers like this were developed for fighting, they were designed for thrusting and stabbing. Although "unofficial" weapons in the Revolution, many were carried as personal arms -especially by the frontiersmen and militia who often lacked bayonets for close infighting. Also included is a sheath. Both are in fine condition.
