Queen of Castile from 1474 until her death in 1504, reigning over a dynastically unified Spain together with her husband, King Ferdinand II of Aragon; they are best remembered for establishing the Spanish Inquisition and for financing Christopher Columbus's 1492 voyage that led to the discovery of the New World . Manuscript LS in Spanish, signed “Yo la Reyna,” one page, 8 x 9.75, Ca. 1500. Royal Letter relating to Enrique Figueredo, chancellor of the Order of Calatrava, with fine a signature of Queen Isabella I of Castile, ca. 1500.
Ink on paper.
Shows wear, use marks, folds, damp stains and some faults.
With embossed shield on the back.
