Signed letter on Headquarters Army of the United States stationary dated, Washington D.C. February 2nd 1884 .The letter is two sided one side is a copy of the front with the original back side showing. It is a reply to a letter from a Mrs. Woods who is requesting a position for a Colonel Woods. In the letter Sheridan basically says he is unable to help.Sheridan signed P>H. Sheridan signature is a shade light.
