Marilyn Monroe & Joe DiMaggio Collection. This is a collection of three items. The first a fine Marilyn personal check dated October 13, 1951. Made out to Daisey Fresh. The check is inscribed and signed in Marilyn’s hand, does have some cancellation through her signature but does not affect the clean look of the check and signature. The other check is a personal check by Joe DiMaggio on his Yankee Clipper Enterprises account dated April 15, 1988. It is for Continental Air Lines in the amount of $77 dollars and is made out and signed by the baseball great DiMaggio. These checks are accompanied with a chart of account sheet from Marilyn’s personal Law firm Write, Wright, Green and Wright dated November 2nd, 1953, for 1953 expenses. This is just 2 months before they exchanged their vows. You will see in August 24th there is a charge for $27.15 form Biltmore Flowers for Joe DiMaggio, this must have been quite arrangement for that cost at the time. There are not many items that have come to the market showing their relationship and how they cared for one another, but this certainly shows he love towards Joe. A remarkable collection of items.
