Edward Teller, Important and fascinating letter and SP from Edward Teller theoretical physicist and 'father of the hydrogen bomb. The letter is in reference to Oppenheimer and what Teller believes was his quest and desire for personal power. He states that Oppenheimer recommended the dropping of the atomic bomb, but was quoted before after the first test of the bomb (Trinity) Now I become Death, the destroyer of worlds.” From THE BHAGAVAD-GITA), he also retells a personal situation where Oppenheimer called him at the end of 1952 and tole him that he suggested to the President elect Eisenhower the use of the hydrogen bomb in Korea. He also asked him to do the same, and that Teller said he could not go along with his suggestion. Also accompanied with a glossy 8 x 10 photo of the theoretical physicist and 'father of the hydrogen bomb' holding his glasses in a close-up pose, signed in black felt tip. In fine condition. Great item and historically important!
