Signed (4 x 5.5). Card on letterhead of “Empire State Building, New York City” and bears the printed thank you inscription: Also accompanied with a signed blank card by Smith. Smith was a prominent Progressive Democratic politician from New York and the first Catholic nominee for president. He was the 42nd governor of New York (1923-1928) and the Democratic presidential candidate in the 1928. In 1932 .Smith became the president of Empire State, Inc., the company that built the Empire State Building.
