Bok, Edward W. – Signed card (3 x 5.5) with autograph inscription “Thoroughness first: then speed,” dated May 1923. Bok was a Pulitzer Prize winning author and editor of the Ladies Home Journal for 30 years (1889-1919). The magazine, under his editorship, was the first to achieve a circulation of one million readers. Robinson, Edward Arlington – Signed sheet of plain paper (8.5 x 5.5) inscribed “Edward Arlington Robinson, 7 November, 1925.” Robinson was an American poet who won three Pulitzer Prizes for his work. Rosenthal, A. M. – Signed, typed letter (7.25 x 10.5) on letterhead of the New York Times, dated January 28, 1969. Letter is to a professor at the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University discussing an upcoming visit to the school. “I think, perhaps, a Q and A on The Times or on Journalism in general might be better than a talk on running an afternoon paper. Man, I ran exactly two editions of an afternoon paper.” Rosenthal was a prominent Pulitzer prize-winning journalist who served as Executive Editor of the Times from 1977 to 1989 and columnist for the newspaper from 1987 to 1999.
