Susan B. Anthony Woman Suffrage Association Bank Check Signed "Susan B. Anthony" and Countersigned by Alice Stone Blackwell and Harriet Taylor Upton. 6" x 2.5", Warren, Ohio, Febraury 3, 1897, paid to A. J. Ferris (a Philadelphia publisher).
Publisher A. J. Ferris of Philadelphia published Speeches on the Rights of Women in 1898 for the National Woman Suffrage Association of which Susan B. Anthony was the president, Alice Stone Blackwell the recording secretary and Harriet Taylor Upton the treasurer. Each woman's signature is bright and bold and with the exception of some damp staining along the top edge which has affected the printed text and old fold creases, the check is in very good condition.
