Nixon Administration- Working Guest List, Seating chart and photograph for Apollo 11 dinner. A collection of five items including a hand-annotated guest list for the Apollo 11 dinner indicating who actually came along with comments pertaining to some of the guests, a proposed menu, seating chart and two 8" x 10" color photographs from the evening.
The black-tie affair had one of the greatest assemblages of former presidents, astronauts, Supreme court justices, cabinet members, heads of the legislature, foreign dignitaries and celebrities ever assembled in the history of this nation. Fascinating insight on how such a event was put together and the time taking activity of confirming all of the guests for the event. From Sanford L. Fox Chief of the Social Entertainments Office 1969 through 1974. Fox oversaw the planning of events throughout the Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon and Ford administrations.
