A signed photo and two letters from Johnson with great content in reference to speeches he was working on and asking help from his campaign manager Adrian A. Spears.
Adrian A Spears was Texas lawyer who worked as a congressional district campaign manager for Lyndon B. Johnson in 1948, as well as his handling of Johnson’s campaigns of 1954 and 1960.
First TLS on United States Senate office of Minority Leader Washington Dc. February 13, 1953.

I want you to take three minutes to look over my first speech to the country since becoming Democratic leader of the Senate. It would help me immensely if you would give me your constructive comments and criticism and helpful suggestions that occur to you. Signed Lyndon”
