Ernest H. Shepard (1879-1976) was an English artist and book illustrator. He was known especially for his illustrations, most famous for Winnie-the-Pooh by A. A. Milne. Pen and ink drawing on board, signed, additional signature on verso, an original sketch for an illustration in Everybody's Boswell. The second piece is from George Cruikshank (1792-1878) was a British caricaturist and book illustrator, praised as the "modern Hogarth" during his life. His book illustrations for his friend Charles Dickens, and many other authors, reached an international audience. This is an original signed pencil sketch titled, "The Phoca vol. 6 page 127.Interesting Collection of two original piece of art from famous illustrators!
