Beta cloth is a fire proof material woven from teflon coated glass fibers. It was supplied to NASA by the Owens Corning Corporation for use as the outer layer of the Apollo space suits and in-flight garments worn by the astronauts after the Apollo 1 fire. A collection of 3 Nasa Beta Patches one with the highly desirable Apollo 11 emblem cut to a size of( 7”x7.5”), another is the Nasa Emblem (8”x8”), although the registration is off on this one and the last is the American flag ( 9”x6.5” ) The beta cloth patches were supplied to NASA , and many were carried as souvenirs on missions without any further treatment. Patches are in good condition
