Ray Bolger, the "Scarecrow" in the "Wizard of Oz" autograph letter signed to a fan. It reads in full: "Dear Dale - The make-up on my face was made of a special type of foam rubber, it was glued on my face, the collar was attached to the mask it was burlap. A total of about 3 hours for the make-up and and the costume every morning. No I'm not going to be in the remake. Thank you for your sweet letter! Sincerely. Ray Bolger /9-2-84". Lot includes an 8" x 10" glossy photo of Bolger in costume as the Scarecrow. 1 pp. on ruled paper with original fan letter to verso. Measures 7.5" x 9.75". Near fine
