37TH President of the U.S. LS on letterhead of President-Elect, dated December 12, 1968 to Mrs. Martha Rountree Presbrey. The Presbreys were friends of the Nixon's, and Martha was the first moderator of “Meet the Press”. “I want you to know how much I appreciated the letter you sent to me after the election. As I undertake the great responsibility of providing new leadership for America, the messages I have received by the thousands from all over the world will be a constant source of strength and inspiration in the ears ahead. Pat joins me in extending our very best wishes to you for Christmas and the New Year.” Signed “Dick Nixon”.
