29th President of the U.S. ALS on Senate letterhead Dec. 27 (ny). Friendly letter to Mr. E. H. Everett thanking him for the tickets to the tea and supper and ball for the benefit of the Red Cross workers. He will not be able to attend because of Mrs., Harding’s illness. Edward H. Everett, a native of Cleveland, was a multimillionaire industrialist and philanthropist who was maintaining residences in Washington, D.C., Bennington, Vermont, and Switzerland at the time of his death.At one time he was a large stockholder of the Anheuser Busch Co. of St. Louis.
