Incredible vintage signed 5"x7" photo taken onboard a ship with the members of the US Olympic team. Signed in fountain pen by Johnny Weissmuller and 4 other members and the manager for the 1928 Olympics. The photos has signatures of each including swimmer in the photo and signed by the manager as well. Does have an inscription on the bottom Japan and "her people" owe you “appreciation” for showing and helping us all” Waly

This incredible photo shows a young Weissmuller, as a Olympic swimmer.  Known as an actor best known for playing Tarzan in films of the 1930s and 1940s and for having one of the best competitive swimming records of the 20th century. Weissmuller was one of the world's fastest swimmers in the 1920s, winning five Olympic gold medals for swimming and one bronze medal for water polo. He won fifty-two US National Championships, set sixty-seven world records and was purportedly undefeated in official competition for the entirety of his competitive career.

Walter Laufer  was an American competition swimmer who represented the United States at the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam.In the 1928 Olympics he won a gold medal in the 4x200-meter freestyle relay event and silver medal in the 100-meter backstroke event. He was also fifth in the 100-meter freestyle event.

Paul H. Wyatt (F was an American competition swimmer and Olympic medalist. Wyatt represented the United States at the 1924 Summer Olympics and 1928 Summer Olympics.

Helen Meany (later Gravis, December 15, 1904 – July 21, 1991) was an American diver who competed in the 1920 Summer Olympics, in the 1924 Summer Olympics, and in the 1928 Summer Olympics.

Milton Francois D'Eliscu managed the 1928 Olympic swim team in Amsterdam Holland, after the Olympics he left in 1931 to become the Physical director for the city of Tokyo, Japan.
