Photograph of Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz accepting Japan's surrender aboard the flagship, U.S.S. Missouri, taken on September 2, 1945, inscribed To Lieutenant Nicola Stewart (NC), USN With best wishes signed C.W. Nimitz, with typed caption on verso. Aproximately 11"x14" does have some crinkling and a couple fold lines in image. Nice dark signature, some of the crinkles and folds could be matted out. Very important historical moment in WW2.
