(1907 - 1958). Interesting TLS. 1 page, July 18, 1940. On comical "Michael Todd (Without Appendix)"
letterhead. To Louise Tobin: "Thanks a lot for your interest in my so-called illness. Confidentially,
I enjoyed every minute of it and wouldn't have missed it. I heard you on the air the other night with
Bradley and I think you are okay. Probably you do, too, so we won't have any argument on that account.
Regards, Michael [in ink]," adding an autograph postscript "someone here 'my nurse' is sealing this."
Creased, else fine. An interesting letter from the American theatre and film producer, best known for his
1956 production of "Around the World in Eighty Days," which won an Academy Award for Best Picture. Also
well-known as one of Elizabeth Taylor's husbands, Todd died on 22 March 1958, when his private
plane, Lucky Liz, crashed near Grants, New Mexico.
