Leslie Groves (Manhattan Project)

Autograph card signed by General Leslie Groves, inscribed in fountain pen, “Leslie Groves, Major Gen. USA.” The card measures 3.25” x 5.25” and is neatly signed, with the date “3/14/46” noted in another hand at the bottom corner. 

Light age toning and a faint, small stain at the bottom left edge, otherwise clean and well-preserved with a bold, crisp signature.

Leslie Groves Jr. (17 August 1896 – 13 July 1970) was a United States Army Corps of Engineers officer who oversaw the construction of the Pentagon and directed the Manhattan Project, a top secret research project that developed the atomic bomb during World War II.
