Whitall, Captain, and also signed by W. L. Marcy, Secretary of War, framed with portrait engraving of Polk and a U. S. Mint Peace Medal, document measures: 17-1/4 x 14-3/4 in.; frame measures: 26-3/4 x 32-3/8 in.
