Harry S. Truman typed letter signed, one page, 7.25" x 10.5", dated March 16, 1956, on personal letterhead from the Federal Reserve Bank Building, Kansas City, Missouri. Addressed to Mme. Jean-Jacques Sittler of New York, Truman writes in part:

“Mrs. Truman and I appreciate most highly your good letter of March 13th. It was thoughtful of you to congratulate us on Margaret’s engagement.”

Boldly signed “Harry Truman” in fountain pen. A warm and personal letter referencing the engagement of the Trumans’ only daughter, Margaret Truman.
