A personal and group of material associated with Grace Kelly, Princess Grace of Monaco, all originating from the estate of Cora Lee, to whom the material was directly sent or given.Cora Lee was the proprietor of a bed and breakfast in Roaring Gap, North Carolina, where Grace Kelly stayed during a visit to the United States. Every item in this lot descends directly from her estate.The group includes a signed Christmas card, written in French and dated 1980, signed by both Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier III. The interior of the card features a family photograph showing the Prince and Princess with their children seated on hay bales. Also included is an official Howell Conant postcard, signed by both Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier, with a photograph on the reverse depicting the Prince and Princess seated in chairs with their family standing behind them.Also present is a single menu page used during Grace Kelly’s stay, with her meal selections checked on one side, and the reverse bearing her handwritten notes detailing food preferences and timing, signed by Grace Kelly.The lot further includes a Polaroid photograph from the estate and a Monaco commemorative stamp strip issued for the 1956 marriage of Prince Rainier and Grace Kelly as contextual ephemera.
