Felix Kirk Zollicoffer, Confederate Brigadier General, autograph signature and envelope panel. Includes a irregularly clipped signature, “F. K. Zollicoffer, MC” measuring 2 x 7.5 inches, mounted with portrait and printed biography, together with an address panel in his hand, 5.25 x 7.25 inches, reading “Historical Society of Tenn, Nashville, Tenn,” and bearing a red “Coast Survey 1857” stamp. The envelope panel shows paper loss and wear, though the handwriting remains clear.

Felix Kirk Zollicoffer (May 19, 1812 – January 19, 1862) was an American newspaperman, slave owner, politician, and soldier. A three-term US Representative from Tennessee, an officer in the United States Army, and a Confederate brigadier general during the American Civil War; he led the first Confederate invasion of eastern Kentucky and was killed in action at the Battle of Mill Springs. Zollicoffer was the first Confederate general to die in the Western Theater.
