Douglas Corrigan

Autograph card signed “Douglas Corrigan,” 3.5" x 5", inscribed to “Carl Wollner, a fellow Texan,” and dated “2-27-39 Spokane.” Corrigan adds his famous nickname, “Wrong Way to Ireland,” referencing his legendary 1938 transatlantic flight when, intending (or claiming) to fly from New York to California, he instead landed in Dublin — an audacious journey that earned him international fame. Accompanied by a vintage sepia-tone RKO publicity photo of Corrigan, 5.25" x 7", unsigned. Both are in fine condition.
