Color lithograph depicting three iconic Curtiss P-40 Warhawk fighter planes in flight, photographed by Budd Davisson, handsomely signed in ink by more than twenty legendary American WWII aviators and Flying Tigers veterans.

The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk was one of the most recognizable fighters of the Second World War, famed for its shark-mouth nose art and service with the American Volunteer Group in China under Claire Chennault. A powerful tribute to the men who flew them, combining history and heroism.

Approximately 16" x 11.5". Light handling, overall bright and clean with bold, well-placed signatures across the image. Very fine display piece.

"Flying Tigers"The First American Volunteer Group (AVG) of the Republic of China Air Force in 1941–1942, nicknamed the Flying Tigers, was composed of pilots from the United States Army Air Corps (USAAC), Navy (USN), and Marine Corps (USMC), recruited under President Franklin Roosevelt's authority before Pearl Harbor and commanded by Claire Lee Chennault.
