Autograph letter request from collector Sydney N. Greenburgh, dated May 5, 1932, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, addressed to famed aviator Clarence D. Chamberlin. The one-page handwritten letter politely requests Chamberlin’s autograph, reading in part: “I would like to know if I could have the honour of receiving your autograph... I would greatly appreciate this.” Chamberlin obliges, boldly signing at the bottom in black ink, “Clarence Chamberlin.” In fine condition.

Clarence D. Chamberlin (November 11, 1893 – October 31, 1976) was an American pioneer of aviation, being the second man to pilot a fixed-wing aircraft across the Atlantic Ocean, from New York to the European mainland, while carrying the first transatlantic passenger.
