The letter is from a civil war soldier to his mother, and writes about family and that "the Excellency, the president of the US with Mrs. Lincoln are the guest of Major General Hooker. They will remain tomorrow to review of the Calvary corpse and will take place at 12 AM near general Barney’s headquarters."
