Pair of signed 8" x 10" color photographs from legendary American test pilots. The first depicts General Chuck Yeager, photographed in a flight suit, climbing into a jet cockpit, inscribed and signed in brown ink. The second features Scott Crossfield, shown beside an open aircraft engine, inscribed and signed boldly in black ink. Clean examples with inscriptions and signatures, each measuring 8" x 10".

Chuck Yeager (February 13, 1923 – December 7, 2020) was a United States Air Force officer, flying ace, and record-setting test pilot who, in October 1947, became the first pilot in history confirmed to have exceeded the speed of sound in level flight.

Scott Crossfield (October 2, 1921 – April 19, 2006) was an American naval officer and test pilot. In 1953, he became the first pilot to fly at twice the speed of sound. Crossfield was the first of twelve pilots who flew the North American X-15, an experimental spaceplane jointly operated by the United States Air Force and NASA.
