The Beatles 1977 Hollywood Bowl Original Album Cover Art Mock Concert Ticket in GA Slab - This interesting piece of rock n' roll memorabilia is a mock concert ticket which was created by Capitol Records while designing the album cover for the 1997 The Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl album. Capitol decided use a pair of concert tickets for the cover, and as the original tickets for the Hollywood Bowl shows did not picture the band, they made up these imitations using ticket styles from the Shea Stadium concerts as well as 1975 Hollywood Bowl shows by Joan Baez and America. In the process of creating these tickets they incorrectly printed the date as Saturday although August 23, 1964 was a Sunday. Capitol Records was even informed of the error by a fan who had purchased the album, realized the incorrect date and sent a letter to the Capitol art department in June 1977. This is truly a unique and rare piece of Beatles memorabilia. The ticket is in a Global Authentics slab and graded NM-MT 8.5.With One Of A Kind Collectibles COA.
