On International Geographic Congress letterhead dated May 13, 1905. A TLS signed by Robert E Peary in fountain pen letting a Mr. Vaux know that he will be able to attend the annual Banquet of the “Ends” at the Savoy. The letter is in fine condition and signed R.E. Peary U.S.N. Robert Edwin Peary, Sr. (1856 – 1920) was an American explorer who claimed to have reached the geographic North Pole with his expedition on April 6, 1909. Peary's claim was widely credited for most of the 20th century.
