Original Clyde Beatty Circus complimentary admission ticket, measuring approximately 2 x 5.5 inches, issued for the 1952 season and signed on the reverse in ink by Pierre Cartier. The ticket retains its attached reserved-seat check and exhibits expected wear consistent with its period of use.

Pierre Cartier (March 10, 1878 – October 27, 1964) was a French jeweler. He was one of three sons of Alfred Cartier and the brother of Jacques Cartier and Louis Cartier. Pierre's grandfather, Louis-François Cartier had taken over the jewelry workshop of his teacher Adolphe Picard, in 1847, thereby founding the famous Cartier jewelry company. Cartier was a principal figure of the famed Cartier dynasty and head of Cartier New York during the firm’s expansion among elite American clientele in the early 20th century.
