Accompanied by original transmittal envelope. Letters exhibit typical folds and handling; While serving time in a federal penitentiary, notorious gangster Mickey Cohen befriends an LAPD police officer.
Dated September 14, 1968 - "My Very Dear & Good Friend Voy" I received your card tonight and I sure got a kick out of the sign on top of the restaurant. Wallace appeared here in Springfield last Wednesday and really got a hell of good turn out and reception. I sure hope and pray that you are up to making the trip to see your sister. And that she is well enough to out to dinner with you. And I hope that you don't forget to relay my love and energy good wish to her for me Voy. Its a shame the folks the ? won't be there to see you.
