Michael Bolton is an American singer and songwriter who first performed in the 1970s in hard rock and heavy metal bands, including as the frontman of Blackjack, before achieving major success as a pop ballad singer in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Known for powerful renditions of songs like “When a Man Loves a Woman” and “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay,” he also co-wrote the hit “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You.” Over his career, Bolton has sold more than 75 million records worldwide, earned multiple top-10 albums and two number-one singles on the Billboard charts, and won two Grammy Awards and six American Music Awards.
