An original leaf from a late medieval manuscript prayer book, the Book of Hours. 16 lines of text, ruled in red, written in Latin with dark brown ink in a clear Gothic script on animal vellum. This leaf contains highly burnished gold initials on blue and red ground with white tracery. Flanders: Ghent/Bruges, circa 1460.
