Chester Nimitz TLS. Signed "C.W. Nimitz" and dated July 24th, 1945. 7.25" x 10.5" and in fine condition.
Signed "C.W. Nimitz" on a 4" x 1.75" card. In fine condition.
Admiral Halsey's autograph. A letter signed at the top by Admiral William Halsey at the top. Also signed by his flag lieutenant W.J. Kitchell who is responding to the request. Dated August 20, 1945 and 7.25" x 10.5" in size. In fine condition.
E.J. King autograph. A letter sent to E.J. King in request of his autograph, to which he returned complying with the request. Dated July 1945 and about 5.25" x 6.75" in size. In fine condition.
Chester William Nimitz (February 24, 1885 – February 20, 1966) was a fleet admiral in the United States Navy. He played a major role in the naval history of World War II as Commander in Chief, US Pacific Fleet, and Commander in Chief, Pacific Ocean Areas, commanding Allied air, land, and sea forces during World War II.
William Frederick "Bull" Halsey Jr. (October 30, 1882 – August 16, 1959) was an American Navy admiral during World War II. He is one of four officers to have attained the rank of five-star fleet admiral of the United States Navy, the others being William Leahy, Ernest King, and Chester W. Nimitz.
Ernest Joseph King (23 November 1878 – 25 June 1956) was a fleet admiral in the United States Navy who served as Commander in Chief, United States Fleet (COMINCH) and Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) during World War II. He directed the United States Navy's operations, planning, and administration and was a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and was the U.S. Navy's second-most senior officer in World War II after Fleet Admiral William D. Leahy, who served as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
