Framed and matted autograph signed document and print of Mexican president, Guadalupe Victoria (Mexican, 1786-1843). Guadalupe Victoria Document Signed. 8.25" x 11.75", Mexico; March 13, 1829. In Spanish, untranslated. The first president of Mexico appoints ..........of the first battalion to the rank of colonel. The document features the Seal of Mexico at the top center, with the integral filled with countersignatures and annotations dating to 1829/1830. Signed, "Guadalupe Victoria". Docketed on the verso. 18 1/4" x 21" framed.

Guadalupe Victoria (29 September 1786 – 21 March 1843), was a Mexican general and politician who fought for independence against the Spanish Empire in the Mexican War of Independence and after the adoption of the Constitution of 1824, was elected as the first president of the United Mexican States. He was a deputy in the Mexican Chamber of Deputies for Durango and a member of the Supreme Executive Power following the downfall of the First Mexican Empire, which was followed by the 1824 Constitution and his presidency.
