A check from Coutts & Company bank check, 7.5 x 3.25, filled out and signed by Charles Dickens, payable to Self for £4, January 24th, 1859 in fine condition. The same year he wrote and published one of his most famous works His 1859 novel, A Tale of Two Cities, set in London and Paris. Encapsulated and graded by PSA/DNA." Elegantly matted with and framed with a photo of Dickens to a total size of 20.5"x12.5".

Charles Dickens (7 February 1812 – 9 June 1870) was an English novelist and social critic who created some of the world's best-known fictional characters and is regarded by many as the greatest novelist of the Victorian era. His works enjoyed unprecedented popularity during his lifetime and, by the 20th century, critics and scholars had recognized him as a literary genius. His novels and short stories are widely read today.
