Marjorie Henderson Buell (December 11, 1904 - May 30, 1993), American cartoonist, signature and original sketches. More commonly known as "Marge," Buell created "Litile Lula," a comic strip originally published in the Saturday Evening Post in the late 1940s. The characters enjoyed a lengthy run; Little Lulu was picked up for the funny pages in the early 1950s, gracing the pages until March of 1984.

Penned on a 5.75 x 3-5 custom-made collector's card, "Marge" responds to a fans request for a signature: "I am very sorry to be so late in answering your letter, but I just received it yesterday! Little Lulu joins me in saying that we hope you will forgive me. Sincerely, Marge," adding a small sketch of Little Lulu to the left, waving and exclaiming, "Me, Too!," and a sketch of the character Tubby on the bottom right corner, adding, "And me, too!" Pencil notation on verso identifies Tubby's character.

The signature is accompanied by an original "Little Lulu" comic cover, featuring the characters Witch Hazel and Little Itch.

In fine condition, with some trivial soiling to the card, not affecting the signature, note, or sketches.
