He is the first Heisman Trophy winner to be selected as the first overall selection in the NFL Draft, play pro football, win the NFL's most valuable player award, and be inducted into both the professional and college football halls of fame.

Willie Mosconi ( June 27, 1913 – September 17, 1993) was an American professional pool player. Between the years of 1941 and 1957, he won the World Straight Pool Championship nineteen times. Jim Palmer (born October 15, 1945) is an American former professional baseball pitcher who played 19 years in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Baltimore Orioles (1965–1967, 1969–1984). A six-time American League (AL) All-Star, he was also one of the rare pitchers who never allowed a grand slam in any major league contest. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1990.

Kathy Whitworth (born September 27, 1939) is an American professional golfer. Throughout her playing career, she won 88 LPGA Tour tournaments, more than anyone else on the LPGA Tour. Warren Spahn (April 23, 1921 – November 24, 2003) was an American professional baseball pitcher who played 21 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB). A left-handed pitcher, Spahn played in 1942 and then from 1946 until 1965, most notably for the Boston Braves, who became the Milwaukee Braves after the team moved west before the 1953 season. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility in 1973 with 82.89% of the vote.
