John S. Mosby the "Gray Ghost,"

Rare signed unpublished cabinet photo 5.75" x 9" of the "Gray Ghost," John S. Mosby. Mosby was the leader of "Mosby's Rangers," a Confederate partisan cavalry unit known for their speed and elusiveness during the Civil War. Some deterioration to print, the signature remains bold and legible on mount. Mount bears a "Bedford City, VA" photographer's imprint, the town where Mosby lived.
