From Dave Power's Estate ALL of these photos pertain to one of JFK's most famous speeches to the West German people
on June 26, 1963 in West Berlin.One of the best known speeches from the Cold War and among the most famous anti-communist speeches ending with JFK famously ending in German " Ich bin ein Berliner "- I am a Berliner -photo archive includes 8 one of a kind photos all from day of this speech and Dave Power's invitation to attend the state dinner honoring JFK as well as a rare souvenir double sided medallion with image engraved of JFK's face on one side and the reverse " Ich bin ein Berliner". There is a mixture of professional photo agency images as well as amateur photographs taken that day by Germans and sent to Dave Powers. Platform where JFK gave his speech and one of JFK riding in motorcade with West German President Konrad Adenauer. All are in fine condition.
John F. He was the youngest person to assume the presidency by election and the youngest president at the end of his tenure. Kennedy served at the height of the Cold War, and the majority of his foreign policy concerned relations with the Soviet Union and Cuba. A Democrat, Kennedy represented Massachusetts in both houses of the U.S. Congress prior to his presidency.
