Limited edition sterling silver commemorative plate issued by the Bicentennial Council of the Thirteen Original States and produced by the Franklin Mint. The plate displays a gold-electroplated relief of John Adams addressing his contemporaries, bordered by the inscription “With me, the stake of America.” Struck in solid sterling silver with 24k gold electroplating, weighing approximately 242 grams or approximately 8 troy ounces, and housed in the original Franklin Mint book-style presentation case. From 1974.
The exterior case exhibits wear consistent with age and handling, while the interior case and the silver plate are in fine condition. An attractive and historically resonant Bicentennial collectible honoring one of America’s principal Founding Fathers.
