Grover Cleveland, autograph letter signed, dated December 21, 1906, written from Westland, Princeton, New Jersey, the letter measuring approximately 6.5 x 10.25 inches when opened.

Handwritten letter addressed to George F. Parker, Esq., in which Cleveland notes the enclosure of belated proxies and refers to correspondence concerning what he characterizes as a prolific and vexatious source of inquiry relating to deferred time policies. He advises that certain letters be referred to the appropriate official for reply and explanation, and notes that he himself has made no reply to the inquiries. Signed clearly at the conclusion by Grover Cleveland.

Accompanied by a typed transcript of the letter, along with two printed pieces: a portrait of Grover Cleveland and a biographical page detailing his life and presidency. A well-documented post-presidential letter offering insight into Cleveland’s continued engagement with public and administrative matters after leaving office.

Grover Cleveland (March 18, 1837 – June 24, 1908) was an American lawyer and politician who served as the 22nd and 24th president of the United States from 1885 to 1889 and from 1893 to 1897. He won the popular vote for three presidential elections—in 1884, 1888, and 1892—and was one of two Democrats (followed by Woodrow Wilson in 1912) to be elected president during the era of Republican presidential domination dating from 1861 to 1933.
