Two typed letters signed by O. N. Bradley. One that is dated September 17, 1944, on Headquarters, Twelfth Army Group letterhead from the Office of the Commanding General, APO 655. In the letter, Bradley writes to Mr. Carleton C. Lloyd that he is enclosing an autographed photograph and expresses the hope that it will serve as a remembrance of their campaign in France. The letter is signed in ink “O. N. Bradley,” with his title printed below as Lieutenant General, U.S.A. Measures 10.5" x 8".
Together with a typed letter signed by Omar N. Bradley, dated September 30, 1968, on General of the Army letterhead. Addressed to Mr. Lou Schneider of Duncan Phyfe Post No. 1245 in New York, Bradley thanks him for the invitation to attend a dinner-dance on Sunday evening, October 13, and regrets that he and Mrs. Bradley will be unable to attend as they will be out of the country. He closes by expressing regret at missing what he is sure would be a memorable evening. Signed in blue ink “Omar N. Bradley.” Measures 10.5" x 7.25".
Omar Bradley (February 12, 1893 – April 8, 1981) was a senior officer of the United States Army during and after World War II, rising to the rank of General of the Army. He was the first chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and oversaw the U.S. military's policy-making in the Korean War.
