First is a fine 8"x10" signed photo of Edward R. Murrow, Famed American journalist (1908–1965) best known for his wartime broadcasts from London and his widely respected CBS television news shows See It Now and Person to Person. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo, signed in blue ink "Ed Murrow". Also a TLS signed “Ed Murrow,” one page, 7.25 x 10.5, Columbia Broadcasting System letterhead, April 10, 1947. Letter to a Mr. Weiss, in reference to a William Shier and his News Analysis program. In fine condition.
Accompanied with 2 other signed photos by famous radio personalities.fine condition. Pauline Frederick 8"xc10" SP. Frederick was the first female news reporter to gain national fame on television and radio and considered one of the pioneering women in journalism.She reported for ABC and NBC throughout her career, covering numerous stories from politics, articles of particular interest to women, military conflicts and public interest pieces and as a war correspondent.
Douglas Edwards signed 8"x10" SP. Edwards was an American network news television anchor. He anchored CBS's first network nightly television news broadcast from 1946–1962, which was later to be titled CBS Evening News. She covered the first political convention on television for ABC in 1948 in 1976 the first woman to cover a presidential debate
