Douglas MacArthur typed letter signed (“Douglas MacArthur”), dated February 12, 1964, on his personal letterhead from 90 Church Street, New York, measuring approximately 8 x 10 inches. Addressed to Mrs. J. M. Malpe, the letter conveys his appreciation for her birthday greeting, noting that the sentiment “moved me deeply” and expressing his gratitude. Signed in blue ink beneath the closing “Most cordially,” with his typed name below.  

Accompanied by the original Department of the Army “Official Business” window envelope bearing MacArthur’s printed return address as General of the Army, postmarked New York, New York, February 20, 1964, with Heart Fund postage meter slogan. Both in fine condition.
